3 Traffic Sources from Article Marketing That Increases Affiliate Commissions

Article marketing drives long-term and short-term traffic from a variety of sources to your affiliate web site or offer. Articles are an excellent source of traffic that can be leverage to grow affiliate commissions.

Articles are used by e-zines, newsletters, blogs, publications, and other web sites for content. Articles are also aggregated by article directories to help publishers find your article. Furthermore, search engines love to use articles in their search engine results.

The power and effectiveness of articles revolve around the back links to your site. Each article contains at least one link to your affiliate offer or website. Links in your articles are the catalyst that drive traffic and increase commissions.

There are 3 sources of traffic from article marketing:

  1. The first source of traffic, from your articles, will come from the article directories you submit your articles to.
  2. A secondary source of traffic will come from other web site and ezine publishers who use your articles for content.
  3. The majority of your traffic will come from search engines. As the number of sites that contains your article increases, the number of back links to your site also increases. Back links increases link popularity; the higher your link popularity, the higher you will rank in search engine results; the higher you rank in search engine results the more traffic you will receive.
