4.Narrow your list by only using keywords containing 3 or more words. I've learned about key word research from several sources. This is the first I've heard about narrowing the list down to 3 word key phrases?

This is how I narrow and focus my list on long tail keywords. There are numerous ways to focus your list.

If you're conduct keyword research for PPC, then the more targeted keywords the better.

I conduct more organic (SEO) keyword research and I'm looking for a smaller more focused list.

I find this is one of the best ways to filter and reduce the size of my keyword list.
